drinking before csection?

I'm going in for an ultrasound tomorrow at 2. If my amniotic fluid is low dr is going to do csection that afternoon. He said to be prepared and not to eat after breakfast. I didn't even think to ask about water. Should I not drink after breakfast either? TIA

My csection was scheduled for 7:30am, and I was told no food or drink, including water, after midnight. I'd assume no water for you either.

Yep, that means don't drink anything either.

The only reason I remember no water was because I wanted to go running the morning of my c-section but figured it would be tough if I couldn't drink water so I went on my last pregnant run the night before and then stopped drinking/eating that evening.

No water. No ice. No gum. I asked about all this week. Had my C section on Wednesday. Good luck!

I had a scheduled C-Section, and my water broke 2am the morning I was suppose to register at the hospital. I missed all of the do's and don'ts but I will say it would be best not drink or eat anything. I ate around 9pm as well as had a drink, and at 9am during my c-section I started throwing up pretty bad!
