How common is this name?

I am thinking of naming DD2 "Isabel." Then I saw "Isabella" has been a top name for the past 5 years. I dont personally know a Single Isabel, Isabella, or Izzy. So poll: how many Isabel/Isabella/Izzys are in YOUR life?

There are 2 Isabels in my DD's preschool class and 1 Izzy is DS's class. We have one friend with an Isabel as well.

Really popular the last couple of years because of Twilight - I have seen a few really young Isabellas and Bellas (who I assume is a nickname for Isabella). I know when we were searching for names for our children it was a hot name DH wanted to avoid at all costs.

I know one Isabel and a ton of dog's named Bella, including our own. Anything with ella, elle, ect. is extremely popular.

I know two 4 year olds named Isabella - one goes by Izzy and one Bella. You could always use the nickname Isa - I know one adult Isabel who goes by Isa but other than that I've never heard it.

Eta-names vary regionally so if you check on the ssa website you can see how popular it is in your area.

Um, yeah, me neither. :-P

I was soooo torn on naming our daughter Isabella but I have been in love with this name for over 10 or 15 years (I can't even remember when my dream of a little Isabella started) so I just accepted there will be others and we call her Izzy. I have a feeling that she'll end up going with Isa since she really focuses on that part of her name when she tells people her name. Because of Twilight, I cringe when anyone tries to call her Bella.

We don't know any other Isabellas yet though.
