Yep we passed Buggy's birthday so I officially am starting to work toward labor and delivery of this little critter. We are 36 Weeks...and prepping my body. No I am not pushing for early delivery I want a fully cooked critter but I would like my body to do things as naturally as possible without too much intervention.
Anyway like the post title says I am drinking RRL tea. Made it iced and No Sweetener....much tastier to my palate than hot with honey. Just thought I would share that lovely tidbit of information.
Happy mothers day!

From what I read it's supposed to help strengthen the uterus. I asked my doctor but she didn't really seem to think it mattered. I think it depends on who you ask. Some people swear by it while others do not.
I was told by my doula that you need to drink a "medicinal quantity" for it to actually help, which she said is 4 to 5 eight ounce servings per day. It's hard to get that much in, but I'm doing the iced tea, too, and that helps.

I can get 3 or 4 in a day...but I like unsweetened ice tea so its helpful without adding too many calories in my diet. And its easier than drinking "a million gallons of water" each day. ::mobile smiley::
Supposed to "soften" your uterine muscles to make contractions more effective. And its supposed to help your reproductive organs in general.
I don't care if its anecdotal, I LOVE hearing success stories about any/all of the wacky things I'm doing to help my labor go smoothly!
Ummm...Yup! I hadn't heard of this with William....but I am willing to try EVERYTHING for a smooth labor.
I'm totally sold now. No seriously though, I hope it works!

I found mine at a health food store...but was told I could get it at my local grocers. It wasn't too expensive. 8.99 for 24 bags. And each bag can make two 8oz cups of tea if brewed "right"...I just fill a two cup measure cup with boiling water drop in a tea bag and steep for 15 minutes. Then I let it cool and add lots of ice and drink it down.
I prefer it iced and no sweetener. But some mamas say hot with honey. Try it different ways to see how you like it. But you have to get a lot in each day for it to be effective.
Red raspberry tea also helps to produce more breast milk!
Ordered mine off of Amazon yesterday (yay Prime!) so I should start mine tomorrow.
Saw a video where a lady turned her very strong brew into ice cubes, then added to other juice and blended to make a smoothie. Seemed like a good alternative way to have enough.
Hope it helps everyone! We should have a post-labor report to see how it worked for everyone!
