Overheating

Went for a walk today and before I knew it it was easily 90 degrees. I tried to stay in the shade as much as possible but the track wasn't fully shaded. I finally decided to stop after 2.5 miles in the shade and have my hubby come get me. I'm worried that being out in the heat and walking may have hurt the baby. I wasn't ever huffing and puffing but was so hot I could barely stand it. It's probably ridiculous but I can't help but be worried. Got in the car and turned on the air. Drank 2 bottles of cold water and Gatorade.

Re: Overheating

  • If it's weather and exersize your body is used to as long as you stay hydrated you should be fine. But in the end if youare worried don't do it. Not worth getting sick for an extra mile right? If you want some cooler weather you can have some of ours. Rain all week yucky.

As long as your core body temp doesn't reach 102 degrees, you are good to go!
