Success after IF

Feel Free To Laugh At Me

All this time I'd been going to the BF support group, the LCs would say that you can't compare their breastmilk intake to formula intake. I blindly said ok but never really thought about it. They weigh him, he was transferring between 3 and 5 ounces.

So in the middle of the night while giving him a bottle, I had the biggest a-ha.

When we did the weights at support group, it was ounces as part of a pound.

When we give a formula bottle, it's ounces as part of a gallon.

DUH. Boy did I feel dumb for not making that connection before now. I blame baby brain. ;)

Definitely baby brain! In all honesty I probably wouldn't have made the connection so quick either, we just don't think about those things on a daily basis.
