On Mother's Day, I like to celebrate not only my amazing Mom and Gramom, but also the other strong women in my life. They are my spiritual mothers, big sisters, aunties, or friends who have invested in me at different times throughout my life. When we, as women pour into others who are younger than us?without jealousies or unrealistic expectations?we become a part of that legacy of grace that has been changing lives for centuries.
I know that Mother's Day can be a time of pain and sadness for those who are struggling with IF or remembering the loss of a child, but I'm wondering if we can take a few moments to share about some of the strong women who we admire today to encourage ourselves and each other?
Re: Strong Women Role Models
I also have a friend and neighbor who struggled for years with IF and also suffered through two losses, the last of which resulted in very serious medical complications. She became a mother this year through the miracle of adoption, and today is her VERY FIRST mother's day!!
My heart is with these two ladies today, as well as all of those who are still waiting, all of those who are grieving, and those who are thankfully holding their little ones today.
