Sore throat lozenges?

Ok I feel like one of those people that I always laugh at when they ask medical advice on here. But, the damn Halls website says to consult your doctor and I am not about to wake my doctor up on Mothers Day to ask if I can suck on throat lozenges.
Has anyone consulted their doctor on this before? Super duper sore throat thanks to dh. It's 3 in the morning and I can't sleep it's so bad. Gargling with salt water is my next thing but that requires me to get up.

    Oy. Yes they are fine. The gave to say that for liability reasons. I'm so glad my doc provides a list if safe medications at the beginning of the pregnancy.

    Way too much menthold has possibly been linked to preterm labor. But I think it would tak a whole lot to be a problem. A few Halls is probably fine.

    I tried not to do any allergy Meds in my first trimester, so I asked if cough drops were ok for an itchy throat. My doctor said they were fine.

    I've used some cough drops at work to help clear up congestion since it seems most meds for congestion are no-nos.

    My nurse at school said they are safe to use when pregnant.
