All this time I'd been going to the BF support group, the LCs would say that you can't compare their breastmilk intake to formula intake. I blindly said ok but never really thought about it. They weigh him, he was transferring between 3 and 5 ounces.
So in the middle of the night while giving him a bottle, I had the biggest a-ha.
When we did the weights at support group, it was ounces as part of a pound.
When we give a formula bottle, it's ounces as part of a gallon.
DUH. Boy did I feel dumb for not making that connection before now. I blame baby brain.
