  Yeah, I'm with you. 

   

  FWIW, I wonder if Max / Maximilian, Maximus, Maxim, all the other Max names make it more popular or less popular than I imagine it to be.  I love the NN Max, but could never just name my child Max, but I don't really care for any of the formal Max names.

  Steve and Edith was just really close sounding to Steve and Eydie

   but Max and Ruby is a kids show.

  Funny!

  Max and Ruby are Rosemary Wells characters.
