Update- Thank you ladies, it worked! We got discharged yesterday finally and it looks like my bp number's are already dropping. I had a hunch my numbers were elevated due to the stress of being stuck in the hospital. My Dr was on vacation all week and was not aware they hadn't discharged me yet, there were some major communication issues between her partners and her, but we're finally home next time I'll just make sure she doesn't have any vacation plans pending!!!
I know I'm technically not pregnant and over 35 anymore, but could use some t&p's from you ladies. Yesterday before my discharge, my bp spiked and they made me stay, I cried I think for a good 7 hours, I was so upset about not going home. They started me on meds and all was good until again this morning I had a spike. They're upping my meds but I'm here until they can regulate it. Fortunately I don't have any signs of Pre E, but it's still scary and depressing. I want to be home for Mother's Day in such a bad way!
Re: Update :Still in hospital - T&P request
I know it's difficult, but try and think calming thoughts. Maybe play some nice, soothing music, have some cinnamon on your toast (cinnamon helps lower BP-- as does garlic, so load up on it at lunch!), and have Dad give you a nice massage?
You are going to celebrate Mother's Day as a mom no matter where you are tomorrow-- you have got a beautiful new baby to remind you!
