How to add a pic?

ok- so I have been around for about a year but can't seem to figure out how to add a picture to a post that I want to write. Anyone know how to add a picture to a new post to share with everyone? TIA!

    When posting, there's a little tree in the dialog box above the text box. Open it, and a dialog box opens with a place to paste a .jpg address.

    Copy the address from a site like tinypic.com (you can upload your picture there) and paste into the dialog box.
