Pregnant in AZ? Who do you see?

Hi!

I am 28w and hate that I need to look for another OB at this late stage. I am extremely unhappy with my current care at Valley Women for Women, and need some recommendations if possible? I live in Mesa, but am willing to travel for the right dr!

    I just delivered at St Joe's in Phoenix with a midwife. My midwife was Tanya Belcheff and she is amazing. Another midwife was on call when I gave birth and she was also great. I had the natural birth I wanted and was very happy with everything.

    I delivered at Blossom Birthing Center. It is across the street from Phoenix Children's Hospital. It is co-owner/run by an OB/midwife team. I wanted a natural birth and wasn't getting the support I wanted at a big box OB facility. I switched at 32w. It was the best decision ever. I had a beautiful, natural water birth.

    The best part is they don't just hand you the bill and show you the door like a hospital. They have a weekly moms group, breastfeeding support, etc. I had a lot of breastfeeding issues and they were so amazing words can't describe how much the support at Blossom saved my sanity and BFing. 

    TTC Since 3/2010
    Me-36, Unexplained Infertility, DH-35, all clear
    Clomid 50mg 12/2011 = BFN
    Clomid 100mg 1/2012 = BFN, with Cyst
    IVF #1 Lupron/Menopur/Gonal-f/HCG Trigger
    ER 4/19/12 = 11 retrieved, 6 fertilized,
    ET 4/22/12 = 2 transfered (day 3), remaining 3 weren't good enough to freeze
    Beta 5/3 = BFP, 87 Beta #2 5/7 560.9 Beta #3 5/9 1376.5 First u/s One Baby, 125bpm!
    Second u/s, 176bmp! Kicked over to the OB by the RE at 8w. Team Green!! 
    Baby girl J arrived two weeks early! Born into water, med-free. Hooray for Team Pink!

    TTC #2 - back to the RE, treatment started 12/2014.

    I am glad to hear you had a positive experience! I am seeing the midwives also at St. Joseph's! I know there is a chance that Anita won't be on call when I go into labor, so it is good to hear that you had a great experience. So far, I would totally recommend the midwives to anyone who is pregnant and seeking. :)

    Anita is who delivered my baby, she was great!

    I saw Valley Women for Women for DD1 and was not very happy with them. I saw Maricopa OBGYN for DS and loved them, but they were in Phoenix.  If we still lived in AZ I would go back to them.

    I'm with mom doc midwives. This is my 3rd Dr/midwife for this pregnancy. I am so happy with them, so caring, organized, and friendly. They are in Gilbert.
