So hubby and I decided that we wanted all 3 of us to go on a cruise next November! Christopher will be 22 months and we're going to try Royal Caribbean because they accommodate families very nicely from what I've heard and read. I mentioned to my mom that we're going and she immediately said "I would like to go!!! I can help out with Christopher while you guys enjoy the shore excursions." I'm totally for that! She doesn't want to be in the same stateroom as us but she mentioned having a connecting room so she can watch our son if we want to go out or whatever. I don't plan to put my son off in my mom the whole time because I want to experience his first cruise with him but I just want to find out if anyone else has traveled with their children and mother and how it worked out. I'm not worried about the vibe being different but I know myself and I'd want to spend a lot if time with my son. So I don't want my moms main reason to come to watch our son.
FYI my mom is paying for herself...
Re: Cruise Vacation with a 22 month old...
My DH would say the same thing.
