Carrying High, Carrying Low Old Wives Tale - Was it right?

The old wives tale says that if you are carrying high it's a girl, and if you are carrying low, it's a boy.

    I should add that I've had a bunch of people tell me I'm carrying high, so they think I'm having a boy... which contradicts what I read about the old wives tale. 

    I tell them all we'll find out when we find out!

    I guess I don't know how you even tell whether you're high or low in the first place.

    It's funny. We're not finding out the sex, but everyone says that b/c I'm all front its a boy.?

    LOL I just checked the results (because I don't know the gender) and it was 50/50.  Interesting!

    hm i dont find out until monday what it is, and this is my first. i've had some people tell me im carrying low and others tell me im carrying high, but i cant tell! my boss's friend is DEFINATELY carrying super low (which i had always heard meant boy) but shes having a girl! My sis just laughs when i ask her heartbeat and other old wives tales questions. i think it's best just to schedule the ultrasound to find out the sex if you want to know! there's no other real way to tell until that baby comes, really. everyones different.

    With DS, I was all up front and really low--if you aren't getting kicked in the ribs in your 3 tri, I'd say you're carrying low.  ( I never had this problem). However, frequently got kicks in the  whoo-haa.

    I feel like the only reason I am carrying high is because I am not tall and there is no where else for belly to go!
