Sleep training is for the birds....

DH and I decided that since he is able to help this weekend, we are going to start sleep training DS2.  I'm usually against it, but the poor kid still wakes every 2 - 2.5 hrs at night.  We've gone through one 5 min CIO and now a 10 min CIO.  DH is upstairs trying to soothe him to sleep, but he's giving us every fight left in him.  :(  Hopefully this results in more sleep for all of us after it is said and done.

  • A lot of women on here have had great results with sleep training. If it feels right to you keep it up! Hope you get some sleep!

  • Good luck! For us, sleep training resulted in far less tears at bedtime. I really think it was the kindest thing we could have done for him to help him sleep. He seems much happier now that he can put himself back to sleep when he wakes at night.

Just make sure you stay consistent and don't break your resolve and undo all your prior work by giving in and picking up your LO. You can do it!
