The song I came down the aisle to was the instrumental version of Bittersweet Symphony. The song we exited to was For Once in My Life by Stevie Wonder. Our first dance was Just Breathe by Pearl Jam.

We also used the instrumental versions of Nightswimming by REM and The Scientist by Coldplay for our ceremony. We also used Tonight, Tonight by the Smashing Pumpkins for our recessional song.

Jealous! I tried to get our string quartet to do Nightswimming for part of the ceremony and they said they couldn't do it.
at our ceremony my sister sang " God Blessed the Broken Road" by Rascal Flatts and another friend sang "I will be here" by Stephen Curtis Chapman. our first dance song was " She's Everything by Brad Paisley.
We got married in Vegas so we didn't have a reception with a traditional first dance, but if we had it would have been "Wonderful World" by Sam Cooke. We danced to it by ourselves in our hotel room the day we got married.
"Steady as We Go"-DMB. Still gets me all choked up whenever I hear it, as does the song I danced to with my Dad ("Cinderella" by Steven Curtis Chapman)

Our wedding party walked down to U2's Magnificent, I walked down to Chantal Kreviazuk's Feels Like Home and we danced to Elvis Presley's Can't Help Falling in Love. Thanks for this post now I'm going to listen to them all and cry at work. LOL
We had a choice of 4 songs and 3 of them were overdone, one of the few downfalls of a destination wedding. We went with Come Away with Me by Norah Jones.

You can never go wrong with Nora Jones!
It's a lovely song. Neither of us had heard it before our dance on the beach. It fit the setting perfectly.
Our first dance of the night was Here, There and Everywhere by the Beatles. Our last song of the evening was No Myth by Michael Penn (What if I was Romeo in Black Jeans).
we danced to Shaniah Twain, "You're still the one". We were together since h.s. so it only seemed fitting. However i really wanted come away w/ me by Norah Jones however we were at DH's x's (from before me in 9&10th grade) wedding a few months before ours and she had her wedding at the same reception place as ours and danced to that song! UGH! so i couldn't choose the same song, i was peeved!

We didn't have a first dance due to my lack of dancing skills and our wedding venue setting up tables on the dance floor, but "Kiss me in the dark" by Randy Rogers Band was the first dance we ever danced to. When we were dating DH used to turn on music and dance with me in the kitchen. That song might not be appropriate for a wedding reception, but I love it.
A song that was at our wedding (we had a band, one of the band members set us up) meant a lot to us, onto necessarily the words, but some of our first dates were to their gigs. It's "Poor Boy" by Johnny's Body. They are on iTunes and really good!

This was our song, too!
The part where it says, "I can just see you, with a baby on the way" was quite fitting, seeing that I was 17 weeks pregnant with L haha.
We didn't have a dance at our wedding but we do have a song. Danny's Song by Loggins and Messina Cause we was poor.
