DD starts preschool in the fall and the handbook says they follow the 1-2-3 Magic method. I like it and am glad they use it because I've been trying to start, but haven't explained it to DD yet. I should get on that and start being more consistent.

Mostly they explain how actions affect others, provide scaffolding for problem solving and talking through problems, and natural consequences. They will do time outs or time ins if a child really needs a break or some time to decompress. Sometimes this means holding a hand until the child can be calm, especially if they were running around crazy before and wouldn't calm down.
I think it's great.
basically this...except they don't believe in "time outs". BUT, if it gets to that point, they'll do a sort of time out like have the child help them get the snacks in the kitchen, or go to the front desk to say "hi" or whatever.

Re: Preschool Discipline Methods
I wouldn't know, as my son magically acts like an angel at preschool.
Completely opposite of how he is at home.
