Do milestones cause changes in sleeping and eating patterns? My son laughed for the first time this week and judging by progress made today, maybe rolling over back to belly by the weekend. I've also noticed his appetite has decreased and his wake time between naps is shorter before he's ready for the next nap in the last few days. Are milestones and these kind of changes correlated? TIA!
Re: Milestones and sleeping/eating
They've got to be related. DS is taking bottles faster than we can make them right now, and this has been going on for a week. He is also desperately trying to roll from back to front and is starting to grasp at things like his Sophie the Giraffe. His movements are getting smoother, though still a bit erratic.
I'm all for saying he is going through a growth spurt, but I know when I was in school and studying really hard, my food intake shot up. I would be willing to bet that DS's food intake directly correlates to his learning and reaching those milestones.
But...it sounds like your little one is doing the opposite of mine, so who knows!

i agree. Have you read the book Wonder weeks? They talk about this and I've notice that our LO has these changes during milestone. The book calls them leaps, and some of the signs are crankiness, more crying and clinginess
