Happy Friday ladies! Are you looking forward to Mother's Day this weekend?

I don't think we have any new ladies joining us this past week; but a HUGE congrats x 2 to kbeach on the birth of her twins!

Good luck to those awaiting b/w or u/w, or TTCing!

T&Ps to those who need them.

What are your plans for this weekend? Are you expecting something special from your DH (esp if you are a FTM)?

P.S. I haven't seen lovebug on here for some time, does anyone know if she & Boo are doing okay?

Hi! Happy Mothers Day everyone!

DH actually asked me to pick out my push present/mothers day gift. Pottery Barn kids has a beautiful necklace with baby's birthstone and initial that I loved so ill be opening that on Sunday. So sweet!

We are spending the day in Portsmouth, a cute little beach town just north of us. We will have a low key day walking the beach & downtown and have lunch on the water with baby Grace. I'm just excited to spend the day with my little family.

TGIF and happy mother's weekend!!

I still cannot believe I am a mom and the mother's day will be celebrated for me! I saw some mysterious box delivered to DH, so I am guessing they are my presents Gift I also got myself a Kindle Fire to appreciate myself "Good job, mama you are doing great!" and I love it!! I am currently hooked on "90210" show on Netflix while I am pumping LOL

We are going to DH's family for a grillout on Sunday. I want to dress up my baby in a cute outfit!!!

Sending a huge Happy Mother's Day to those celebrating for the first time with their LOs! Every year I feel so lucky to have DS and this year I am overwhelmed with gratitude that we not only have DS to celebrate with but also are expecting two little girls very soon. Also remembering all of the wonderful ladies still struggling with IF. I know how hard this weekend is for them. Praying that next year they will also be celebrating with their LOs. As for me, tomorrow I am getting a mani/pedi and also a hair cut! The Sunday I want to just spend time with DH and DS. I think DH has a surprise planned for us. He is usually very good with holidays.

Happy Mother's Day ladies!!

I told DH that I would really like to visit my Mom for Mother's Day, so tomorrow we are driving 2 hours and showing up at her door to surprise her. I can't wait to see her face! My parents haven't seen DS in a few weeks and miss him so much.

Besides that, I'm not sure what, if anything, DH has planned for Sunday. I'm sure he'll come up with something though!

Unfortunately, MH isn't good with gifts and he doesn't think holidays is a big deal, even if this will be my first ever Mother's Day. I told him a week ago that I'd like him to pick up sashimi to-go for me for Mother's Day, so he regards that as his "gift" for me. A few nights ago when I asked him what else he's getting me for Mother's Day, he got all upset (and eventually stressed out) because he didn't think I would want anything more. This has been a sore issue for me for a while now, I'd like to feel appreciated every now and then (eg, X'mas, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, my b-day) with a little gift or even just a card, but DH doesn't think we need to celebrate on a specific day. I am not big at gift-giving but I always get him a little something for special occasions though, and for 5 years in a row, I took him on trips for his birthday. He is a wonderful husband and father to M, but he's just terrible at coming up with gifts or do anything creative/surprising.

I know I shouldn't expect more than a caring and helpful husband, and I don't need a special gift, but OTOH, after all I've been through for the past couple of years (IF treatment, never-ending insomnia, emotional roller coaster, c-section recovery, recurrent clogged ducts etc), I feel like I deserve something special on Mother's Day.

Sorry for this pity-party, as it makes me especially sad/jealous when I see everyone else getting some surprise gifts from their husbands.

Anyway, no real plans for the weekend except having sashimi. Will see if my hairdresser can fit me in this weekend.

Oh, I am going to the ballet tonight though. And if DH can't come up with anything for Sunday, I may go see a concert by myself. Harrumph!

Happy Friday!!

As of now we don't have any plans. I've got to take a practice test for another certification I'll be testing for in a couple of weeks. This is our last free weekend before that test and I need a solid 3-5 hours and H doesn't give me that kind of time during the day. DH brought me flowers Tuesday night because he got called back into work and felt bad, he also said it was an early Mother's Day gift. He's not so great with these kinds of things either and actually I don't even remember the last time he got me flowers.

Hugs all around. I think there's been too much bad news around here lately. And hugs to you pb, it sucks that YH isn't a big gift giver bc you certainly deserve something special after all you have been through.
Today we had E's 2nd round of cognitive testing for a language development study we enrolled her in at the local university. It was neat to see how much she has progressed in the last 3 months and gave me good ideas as to what we need to work on more.
We're in the middle of another huge monsoon and have had a lot of flooding lately, so I don't think we have anything planned for today or tomorrow. Hopefully my first Mother's Day involves sleeping in and going to brunch. I know MH got me a card bc I saw the cvs bag in his truck.
Happy Mother's Day to you all, and hugs to all the IF sisters out there suffering through another painful Mother's Day.

Happy mothers day, everyone! Hugs to our IF sisters that are laying low and needing a big hug this weekend. For Mother's Day last year I had my BFP, but hadn't told anyone beyond family and a few friends who knew we were cycling. I refused to celebrate since we were still very much in the danger zone.

This year, my SFIL is going to be in town. He is the last of the grandparents to come see J. We are planning to do some good food and good beer.

For actual mothers day we are having my family over for brunch after church. I doubt that DH is getting me a present since we are majorly over budget on our home renovation and getting ready to drop some serious money on flooring. DH indicated that he had plans, but thought we should skip presents due to our need to save money. I agreed since I'm a big reason we are over budget (I decided I couldn't live with a cheap renovation).

Happy Mother's Day to so many of you! Last year was rough, I was pregnant but didn't know at the time. So my T&P go out to everybody suffering from IF this year.

So I accidentally walked in to a room my DH told me was off limits and I saw my mother's day present (an ice cream maker!!) But it's kinda been a good thing b/c we've been making homemade ice cream like nobodies business cuz that is what we're bring to both mother's day celebrations with our families.

Originally we had planned to spend Sunday lunch with just the 3 of us and celebrate my first official mother's day. But my sister called me up and told me she was coming into town for Sunday. So Sunday lunch at my mom's and Sunday dinner at my in laws. So DH, Hannah and I are spending Saturday doing a mother's day thing. DH has not told me what we are doing but he's got something up his sleeve and I'm so excited!!

The last time I saw Lovebug was with some drama from another board, I hope she didn't leave the bump over it.
