All of a sudden, they want the jarred food (usually fruit) over the homemade stuff. I purree very fine, so I know for sure that texture is not the issue. They definitely prefer fruit over veggies, probably because of the sweetness but I'm having a really hard time getting them to eat their meals, unless is comes from a jar.
Any tips to get them to enjoy eating homemade foods? Veggies included! Thanks!
Re: Does your baby prefer jarred food over homemade?
I agree with this, mixing could help. I am surprised any living thing can enjoy jarred food more than homemade. It tastes like butt. Haha. I did only jarred food with DD1, and starting making some purees and freezing them for DD2, and I realize how much more homemade actually tastes like the food it claims to be. Baha.
Exactly. Either mix homemade with jarred or mix a sweet homemade -- like applesauce -- with homemade veggies. The homemade food has a much stronger taste.
