Starting a new workout while pregnant

There is a toning class that is being offered at our recreation center that i am thinking about starting.  Before I was pregnant, I didn't do a lot of working out.  I would occasionally but nothing like taking a class.  I had heard that it wasn't a good idea to start something that you hadn't been doing before pregnancy.  Does anyone have any experience with this?

  • Have you ever done fitness training or been a regular exerciser? In any case, you're probably fine as long as the instructor knows you're pregnant and your doctor has given the green light to work out.

    You are fine as long as its not too intense
  • If it's a strength training class, you should be fine. I would just check with your dr.
