Nbr: husband issue eye opener! Book rec

I, and I think and have read other ladies on this board have had connection issues to our dh's since our Los arrived. Sexually, helping out as much as we have wanted, connection.. Well, me and FI are getting married in August and are in premarital counseling with our pastor. He recommended reading For Women Only and For Men Only by shaunti feldhahn. I just finished reading, mostly skimming because I don't have time for a whole book, but I understand why he acts the way he has been. After reading, I have been doing everything wrong it makes absolute sense. It goes through how men need respect, their insecurities, their need to provide, how and why sex is so important, their visual senses, why they are hesitant towards romance and that they care about our appearance. It goes through how to support these things and what you should and shouldn't do to help them out. And I'm never into these kinds of books. But it has helped me and FI out so much. We have been together for 6 almost 7 years and I thought I knew everything I needed to know. This book has and I'm sure will continue to help our relationship.
