I heard about a study done on baby cries on the news today. Apparently Mom brains respond to the crying. Dad brains? Not so much!
"Brain scans showed that, in the women, patters of brain activity abruptly switched to an attentive mode when they heard the infant cries, whereas the men's brains remained in the resting state."
I always wondered how sometimes DD could start fussing and DH wouldn't even flinch. I guess it isn't really his fault, but I'll still get mad at him for sure! Hahaha.
Re: It all makes sense now...
So so true. And I have also noticed that attentive thing even with babies that arent mine.
There's been times where he's been holding her and watching a movie and she started fussing! And it doesn't phase him at all. He just keeps on watching. Then I throw daggers at him with my eyes and take her.
