Adoption

**StormyEyez**

Hi! Congrats on getting your documents to China! Hope you get your LID soon!

How long did it take for your I-800A to come back after you had your fingerprints done? We just did our fingerprints yesterday and I'm really hoping it will be quick, but I have read anywhere from a week to 4 weeks.

After 2 years of IF workups/treatments and 2 IUIs, we have closed the door on fertility treatments.
We are very excited to be pursuing international adoption from China!

  • Thanks so much!!  Can't wait to get our LID... We just got notification today that China has received everything and it is processing.

I am trying to remember exactly what it was for the I-800A.  I remember we were told up to 4 weeks and it came back much faster, and we were surprised.  I want to say it was just under 2 weeks.  We were checking the mail every day... Fingers crossed for you!! :)

  • I went back and looked at the calendar and I had actually made a note of it... it was even faster than I thought!

It was 4 weeks total from sending off the I-800A.  We actually got our fingerprints done on 3/6, and we received our golden ticket on 3/11... So it was very quick after the fingerprints, less than a week!

    Good luck!! :)
