My doctor said around a year to switch to milk and start weaning from the bottle. My daughter still drinks four bottles of formula a day. How I go about doing this? Do I do it gradually? I am completely clueless. How much milk should she get? I worry I won't know how much to feed her. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Re: How will you wean LO from the bottle?
With DD we started at a year. Pedi said no more than 16 ounces of any kind of milk a day. I started mixing her breast milk and cow?s milk in her bottles while at work. Once she was on all milk I measured the milk and offered it in a cup. She did fine and bottles were gone by 13/14 months she still nursed morning and night until she was 18 months, but pedi said not to count that in daily ounces as she doubted she was getting much from each session especially the night one. The goal as far as the pedi was concerned was to have her off bottles by 18 months
