Atarax/hydroxyzine

Has anyone's babies taken this? LO was prescribed it and we are picking it up today. I read that in some babies it causes excitability instead if drowsiness. I hope that doesn't happen! I am only going to give it before bed instead of 3x a day.

    Did you see an allergist? A lot of times eczema is caused by a food intolerance. A friends baby had serious eczema all over and it turned out to be a dairy, egg and peanut allergy and my friend had to cut all of those things out of her diet for her BF baby. So, maybe you should see an actual allergist to make sure that's not the problem? The drugs might just mask the problem...

     Yeah, that is kinda why I hesitate to give it to her. We are going to an allergist soon. She is definitely allergic to bananas but we don't know what else yet. I have been completely dairy, soy, and egg-free for 4 weeks.
