Superhero Theme

DS will be 5 this year and we're likely doing a Superhero them with the Marvel & DC Comic characters, or just Batman. Any cute ideas for food's that center around the superheros and/or Batman? And other cute ideas as well? Thanks.

    Make them capes!  Super easy from a big tshirt. Better yet, let them decorate their own capes

    I would see if you can find cookie cutters in the shapes of the character and use it to cut out sandwiches.  If you buy circular platters, you could make the shapes of the character logos using fruits and veggies....like for batman, make a bat shape with blackberries and surround with blueberries.

    I think Pintrest is the way to go to get ideas....there are tons of food and cake ideas on there with superhero themes.

    Love the idea of capes - they could make their own masks also! 

    I don't know what era Batman you're doing, but if you're going old school you can play with the word bubbles (Pop! BAM! KA-POW!) that they used to have on the television show.  I saw a Cupcake Showdown on super heroes and they made use of those, which was cute and colorful.

    Hero sandwiches are a must (subs)

    "Gotham Grape Juice" (or POW-erade)

    Mister Freeze's ice-cream bar

    Fruit kabobs - with fruit cut in the shape of a bat

    Two-Faced's sweet and salty mix (chex mix)

    Poison Ivy's garden (salad/veggies)
