Re: So, what's new?

  • My mom is coming tomorrow. That makes me happy. Allergies have been driving me crazy! DH tried to help me with the laundry this week and was out of breath carrying it all from upstairs to the basement. He said, " this is a lot of work!"
    Ahh, thanks for noticing!

K is crazy about balls. Tee ball especially. He loves putting the ball on the tee and hitting it with the bat. He loves to dance and sing. He asks for music and will "sing" along. Right now his favorites ate the Hot Dog Song, Shine Bright like a Diamond, and Scream and Shout and Let it all Out.

Tomorrow is my last day at work.  I'm very sad to be leaving here, and sad that we're leaving our home that we made together, brought J home in, etc.  But I'm so thrilled to be able to see our family whenever we want.  Let's see, what else?  A friend is trusting me to do a character cake for her daughter's first birthday (a ladybug), and her sister will do cupcakes, because the cake only serves 12.  I'm so excited to do it for her!

J has started 3 or 4 word sentences this week, all out of the blue (maybe because he's in the 18 mo+ room now?  And he's the youngest, so he's learning from the big kids?).  Last night he said "Where daddy go mama?" and it was so perfectly formed I almost teared up thinking about how big he's getting.  He's also going to be ready to transfer to a toddler bed soon - he was playing in his crib while we were packing and he had his foot up over the rail before we caught him.  I'm worried about that transition and us moving all at once, so I'm hoping he'll forget about it and not climb out of his crib yet.

  • Matt is babbling a whole lot more and trying to talk. He says Mama, Papa, agua [water], bobo [his paci] and a many syllables. One of the lastest things with him is that if a sit down on the floor he comes running to me and sits with me to play with his toys. He loves stacking his wooden blocks and when I do any structure he likes to try to add a pieces too.

Nothing with me... besides getting sick :[

  • me - we got new furniture for our front porch, 2 rockers and a side table for in between.  DH assembled them last night and I LOVE them.  I told DH I see many peaceful moments quietly rocking our new baby on them this summer.  He agreed!

Aug - He's in the big kid room at DC now and the adjustment is slow going.  He sobs when I drop him off : (  After about 10 minutes he does fine and has a good day but drop off is so hard.  And he's always loved DC so that makes it extra hard.

  • Me:  I'm on a get-healthy quest.  I also just got started selling thirty-one (don't worry FB friends; I won't be pressuring any of you to buy stuff!).  I'm also working on reorganizing our house to make more room, since we've decided to stay here for awhile.

L:  Like most of her Sept 11 friends, she melts down over the smallest, silliest things lately.  She peed in the potty the other day (we're not officially potty training yet, but it was a step in the right direction!), and is starting to use 4-word phrases now.   I can't believe how much she knows!

me: we started looking at houses and found one we really like. Going to see it a second time Saturday. We weren't suppose to be doing this for another year! It is in the perfect neighborhood for us, but the house needs updating and a wall or two taken down. But it is priced very well! Our major roadblock now is getting out of our lease. I am really worried that will prevent this from happening.

LO: He is a champ at the park and I love watching him play and laugh and have a good time. He is usually on par with kids over 2 and get proud when other moms comment how much older he seems compared to theirs that are the same age (or even a bit older) lol

me: We signed contracts and mailed them today so we have "officially" purchased our house! We are bringing our parents to see the house Sat. and I am so excited to show them. I am running around like crazy trying to get all of the documentation for the mortgage in place and then I have to start packing.

LO: He is talking a lot and getting so big. He loves going for walks outside and looking at cars, trucks, buses, and airplanes that we see. He is a stubborn little guy and throws a fit whenever he doesn't get what he wants!

  • Me: Not much. I have a cold that won't quit. And I'm counting down the days until LO2 is here. I'm trying to soak in all of the B and mommy moments that I can.

B: She's had a language explosion. She suddenly started saying peepee, poopoo, belly, pretty, eat, bite and a bunch more. And she's really into climbing things now. She's a petite little thing, but she can almost make it up onto the couch and chair at our house by herself.

  • Me.... Just trying to be a good supportive loving wife. DHs job is high stress and his company was just sold. There's a lot of stuff going on that has him worried and I feel bad. This is also stressful because we are in the middle of trying to sell our current home and buy a new one.

R... Wants to be outside all day. Melts down over little things. Better eating but not better variety. Wants a little sibling, haha.
