So, how many of your LO's are sitting up now? I have been working with Nolan for what feels like forever. He can support himself with his hands a bit but I really don't think he's interested.
H has been sitting for about a month now. He's getting pretty good at it. He is just starting to be able to hold a toy and sit up. Before he would fall over if he tried to play with something.
Benjamin's doing better but he falls over when he tries to play too. If it took H a month to be able to hold a toy, I'll shoot for that He used to fall forward but now he just falls to the side or back usually because he's excited about a toy.

A sits up if I hold on to his shirt to keep him steady, he hasn't figured out how to use his hands to hold himself. He needs some support or he tumbles over then flips on his tummy.
Hes been trying to sit up from laying for at least a month. If he has my fingers he can pull himself on up, then normally pushes himself on up to standing.
My LO just started sitting on his own one day randomly, we didn't even see it coming. We had always let him sit with us helping, but he could just stay on his own one day. That was right around his 5 mo. b-day. By the time he hit 6 months he was better about being able to stay up while holding a toy like others mention. He did all the same stuff in the process, face plant while still playing with the toy, etc.
LO has been sitting for a few weeks. He is still kind of leaning forward but is starting to sit more upright. He prefers to be "standing"so he gets pretty bored with just sitting on the floor.

LO has been sitting up since 4.5 months. She is freakishly strong. It look weird for such a small baby to be sitting upright and balance herself. I know thats not normal but it has helped her be able to play more independent on the floor with all her toys.
C is sitting, she just started about 2 weeks ago and is getting better daily but definitely still face plants at times. To help her practice I was putting a water bottle in between her legs because she can balance on that and it also helped keep her focus forward.
M is sitting up pretty well. It's funny she actually does really well with something in her hand. It's like she gets distracted by whatever it is and then can balance better.
Her new thing is trying to grab things out of reach from a sitting position and diving forward into a face plant.

I have been using a water bottle as well. It seems to be working.
A is getting better, a couple of days ago she was falling every couple of minutes but just yesterday she spent about 15 minutes sitting unsupported without falling.
O started sitting up a few days shy of 5 months. About a week ago she started rocking back and forth... I'm assuming trying to figure out to get from sitting to lying position. She just kinda leans to the side and falls over for now and it startles her every time. Ha.
CJ started sitting up without support last week. He can sit and swat at things but is still working on balancing without having his hands on the ground or his feet.

WSS. We have to wait until he's mellow, otherwise he's just too bored to sit. Distraction also helps.
