All side lying makes me dizzy?

Anyone else have this? I used to be able to lay on either side, though I preferred my right to my left. Now, lying down on either side, but especially the left, makes me feel just as woozy as laying on my back. I'm having to sleep with 4 pillows to prop me up enough to keep from feeling that way.

It's not heartburn or anything. I just feel like my heart starts to pound and I get a little dizzy. It always feels better as soon as I sit up.

Is this just another part of the last few weeks?

  • I'm not getting this all the time, but it has been happening a lot more often. Sometimes even just sitting makes me feel a bit woozy. If you have a reclining chair (like a Lazy Boy), Try sleeping in that- it's helped me a bit.

  • Lying on my sides definitely helps my back but it does seem to make me a bit breathless at times even on the left side.  I've been waking up feeling more and more groggy lately as well.

Yes, it sucks and there have been some sleepless nights. Last night I slept sitting up with the help of 6 pillows!

I haven't had the dizziness but felt the need to comment that in general I have decided that "sleeping" while 9 months pregnant freaking blows. That is all.

I'm sorry to read it's happening to you all too, but thanks for making me feel better to know it's normal!

I was able to sleep last night, with practically every pillow in the house propping me up, but man did I end up with a sore neck this morning. Thankfully, I have a prenatal massage in a couple hours. I'm hoping we can still find a way to make it work lying on the table!
