Balboa Sling

Anyone have experience with the Balboa Slings?

I was just given one as a gift. I'm completely new to ring slings - I've used only the Ergo to this point. I'm excited to try it out. Advice? Tips?

I've heard they're not the absolute *best* ring slings, but worth a try. Thanks!

I wouldnt use one. They look really similar to the bag slings that suffocated babies.

I have a friend that uses one and loves it. It's all kind of personal preference, though. I have carried many babies using many different carriers, and depending on how they fit, how the baby fits in it, etc. all need to be considered. What's amazing for one mom is equally terrible for another.

Honestly, I'd try to return it if you can. The padding makes it very difficult to adjust safely and comfortably for a small baby. I wouldn't personally feel comfortable using one at all for a newborn because of the padding.
