Doctor said I can get up to go to the bathroom and a 5 minute shower. I told my husband I wanted DQ, never implying he should jump up and go get it for me mind you. He said "ok let's go" dumbfounded I said I can't. He said "but you can go to the DR tomorrow?" Doctor is necessary. DQ is not. I'm slightly upset that he doesn't understand that bed rest is a big deal.
In your experience if I don't have pree, I find out tomorrow, but still have high BP does that mean bed rest for sure?
Re: DH doesn't understand bed rest
I wish I could have then talk to him but he's unable to go to my apt tomorrow.
And yes he's been doing very well so far for the mist part. I really shouldn't complain.

Have you ever been on bed rest? I had the same orders: 5 minute daily shower and bathroom trips only. No freaking way would I defy my doctor's orders for ice cream.
No kidding! Riding in the car with my H would definitely raise my BP bc I'm a backseat driver, whoops!
OP. I have no personal experience but my friend was on bed rest for high BP without pre e and it was down graded to modified bed rest with working from home ok'ed once her 24 hr urine came back ok. She still wasn't able to do her 45 min commute to work bc of the stress of driving.
My two girls Flower and Ayla Faye
yes I have. For pre-e.
Then I'm side-eying you even harder than before.

There is! It's called DH goes out and picks up ice cream for you while you lay in bed. That's why we have husbands, right? ;
You might be able to see if your doctor has a list of printed do's and don't do's while on bed rest or can refer you to a specific website. That way since DH won't be there he can read about what you are and are not allowed to do. Sometimes this helps my DH understand whatever it is I am trying to communicate when he doesn't fully get it.
Of course! Ice cream delivery and massages, haha.
ETA: Hope your appt goes well today and your husband starts to understand your bedrest orders. PPs gave you good advice so I would just be repeating.
You clearly have never been through the fear and anxiety of a complication requiring bed rest. It's prescribed for a reason. And we're talking about getting ice cream. You can't be serious suggesting this.
Thisss!
Not even gonna touch the "just go get it" suggestion... just... no.
I have nothing to add other than the fact that I think it's kind of hilarious (and sad) that your DH thinks going to DQ and going to the doctor is basically the same thing while on bedrest.
