Same routine every day...

What do you and your DH do to do something different. We seem to do the same thing every day. We live close to our parents and seem to go one of their homes every day. We just bought a home and do not have cable, internet and anything like that so finding something to do at our house is very little.

So I ask what do you do to change routine occasionally?

  • Bring the baby to your family's house and then get out for a while! Or even spend some time at your house without baby; that is super relaxing. I brought LO to DH's work today and his coworker held LO while I helped DH with organizing.

We love games so we try to play board games and/or card games to shake things up. We actually have a bi-weekly game night where we have friends over to play different board games. I'm also thinking about starting a puzzle after DH goes back to work.

  • Biking, fishing, walking state parks,...
Google some local activities. Even if you've lived there a while I'm sure thereis something around you hhaven't done yet.
    Zoo? Aquarium? Local museums arefun.
  • Since having the baby, my idea of "something different" involves putting her in the stroller and taking a stroll around the neighborhood. Also, simply running errands like the grocery store is considered something different.
  • I agree with silverfanatic.

I am so happy when DD goes down for a nap that last more than two hours.  We just moved into a small house we don't have TV, but we do have internet.  I've been reading a lot of books, cleaning up the house, ect when I have a moment.
