I'm in LOVE!

I think I've mentioned this before, but I really hate vacuuming. I love the satisfaction of a clean floor afterwards but I hate the act of vacuuming. I'm also a giftcard hoarder, I like to save them all for something I really want and that is just what I did.... I ordered myself a robot vacuum! It isn't a fancy $400-$600 model so I wasn't sure how well it was going to work. Well, I busted it out this morning and I LOVE it!!!!! DD and the cat were running around the house like the thing was chasing them all morning, it was hilarous.

So here I am drinking coffee and watching it clean my floors! So happy!

 So far... I highly recommend one of these for you all! Except Duff, because she really likes to vacuum and I wouldn't want to take her joy away.

    You mean those things actually work? As in, they do a decent enough job? Maybe it's time I started looking into one... Which one did you get?

    Do they make one that would clean my kitchen floor? Lol I loathe mopping but don't mind vacuuming. Sounds like fun to watch it do all the work.

    And me.  It's so calming.  We just got an Electrolux Ultra Silent.  It is SOOOO quiet.  I've vacuumed everyday.

    What is it with us CA girls and vacuuming?

    That's awesome!  Is it a Roomba?  We got one for a gift about 10 years ago, but I never had a lot of luck with it.  I've heard they've come a long way since then, though, and we have lots of pet hair, so I'm sure that didn't help. 

    Add me to the list of people who love to vacuum.  It's my fave chore.  I bought myself a Shark Navigator Professional with my Christmas money, and I'm so in love with it!

    And darn it... the price went down since I got mine!! :(

    Anyhow, most of my house is hardwood floors and so far it has worked awesome. The directions and reviews state that it is not for carpet, in particular long fiber carpet which is what we have in the family room and large rugs in the kids rooms. It has picked most everything that was on the floor; dirt, cat hair, etc... I'm sure I will have to go through with the traditional vacuum once in while to get the corners, etc good. It went over all but one of the kitchen rugs. AND there is a spot on the bottom of this vacuum to attach a wet or dry swifer/rag to "mop" the floors. Obviously wouldn't be as good as a normal mopping though.
