Having a hard time... :(

So, we started the process for IUI #1. I have been doing Bravelle injections every night (150mg) and then they upped it to (225mg) because I wasn't responding. That on top of 1500mg of Metformin for my PCOS. Went to the RE and my follies aren't growing. Last night was day 11 of injections. I also started Menopur in lieu of Bravelle, again 225mg. It instantly made me feel awful. Today, not so bad. This is my first round and I hate this roller coaster ride already. :*(

3/13- Clomid 100mg/Metformin 1000mg= BFN
4/14- Meet with RE, change of plans....
4/26- Begin Injectibles (Bravelle 150iu)
5/6- Switch to Menopur (225iu) & 1500mf of Metformin
5/11- Trigger
5/13- 1st IUI - BFN
5/29- BCP due to cyst on ovary 
6/17- Begin injectibles (150iu Menopur)
6/26- Trigger
6/28- 2nd IUI-BFP

    None of it is any fun, but when it works it will have all been worth it! We're all right there with you. Hang in there.

    DX: Low AMH 1.79 Mildly elevated FSH 9.9

    1 month of Letrozole, 3 IUI's with Letrozole, All BFN. 1 canceled IVF cycle, BFN.


    May 2013 IVF w/ICSI #1.5: Start BCP 5/8 2 pills a day. Suppression Ultrasound 5/29. Begin Dexamethasone & Lupron Microdose 5/31. Started Gonal F and Menopur 6/2.


    ER 6/12 13R,9M,8F.


    5DT CANCELLED due to moderate OHSS


    5DT UNcancelled due to embryos not being capable of cryopreservation


    Transfered 2 "poor quality" embryo's on 6/17

    No frozen embryos.


    Beta #1 6/25 6. Chemical Pregnancy confirmed. Beta #2 6/28 -1
    Done trying

    Hang in there! I was always a slow responder when I was doing an IUI. The longest I've gone was 17 days of injections so there's still hope that your follies will start growing!

    I'm so sorry. We plan to move on to injects if our next IUI is a fail. I can't imagine what you're going through. I can say my best friend was very, very slow to respond to her first injectable cycle and was really losing hope. When she finally responded she only got one follie but ended up pregnant with that first IUI! Don't lose hope just yet!

    And I hear you on the Metformin. I take 2000mg a day and it's just awful!

    Just wanted to say good luck.  I hope this is all worth it, and you get that sticky bfp this cycle!

    Me: 42. DH: 46.

    1st Pregnancy: MC, 11/19/00.

    2nd Pregnancy: DS born 04/10/06.

    3rd Pregnancy: CP, 03/11.

    4th Pregnancy: MMC, D&C 11/30/11, Genetic testing revealed Trisomy 4.

    5th Pregnancy: Ectopic, 2 doses of Methotrexate unsuccessful, surgery 4/10/12, right tube removed.

    Tried Letrozole January 2013-July 2013 (including 2 IUIs), all BFN.  After 2 1/2 years of trying for child #2, decided to "give up" after July cycle, based on AMA.

    August 16, 2013:  BFP our first month of "not trying!"  Still in shock.  Beta #1 (14dpo): 183.  Beta #2 (17dpo):  611.  Ultrasound 8/30/13: baby measured 6 weeks, 1 day, heart rate of 118 bpm! 
    Ultrasound 9/13/13:  8 weeks, heart rate of 176!
    Baby is due 4/26/14
