So behind in planning first birthday

Ugh. Work is so busy I am travelling a lot and losing my mind w morning sickness, I am really behind in planning dd's first birthday. I feel like a bad mom! I just ordered invites and hope to get them printed and mailed by sat. Her party is June 9 and family already knows the date, but I feel so behind. Don't even get me started on a theme!

I hope I am not the only one!

    You're not a bad mom, you've got a lot going on these days : )

    I'm trying to keep this first birthday really low key. I don't want to put any pressure on myself to have a perfectly themed amazing first birthday. It's not worth it to me. There will be enough pressure later on when DD starts going to friends' birthdays & the comparisons begin! We're going to invite some family & friends over via email, cook some burgers & hot dogs, & have cake. No theme, just hanging out & having a nice afternoon.

    Pssshhhhh! I have no date set, no theme, no guest list, NOTHING. But I'm not worried, you know why? SHE'S ONE! MJ will have no idea it's her birthday and I refuse to spend ridiculous amounts of money for other's enjoyment. The plan is to invite other babies and their parent of choice, serve baby friendly foods and watch the babies interact... sounds like a blast to me

    Like the other ladies have said, make it low key. No reason to stress!! You want to enjoy your LO's birthday, not turn it into something you have anxiety over. Your LO will love you regardless of how many balloons are there, what the theme is, etc. It'll be wonderful :) ...deep breaths! ;)

    Don't worry, our party is June 9th also and I haven't even ordered the invitations yet! I hope to get them ordered today though!
