Re: lotion for dry skin

  • I love BabyGanics. It took care of DD's dry patches.

I would NOT suggest using Aveeno. this product is made by JJ which have been warned by the fda to take a cancer causing chemical out of their products. They "promised" to take it out by 2015 which means all their products still contain this chemical. There was recently a story about the fda suspending their license. plllllleeease don't use any of their products!

Eta: also we use California baby or coconut oil on DS's eczema.
  • Try a product called CapriClear, it's an all natural moisturizer that I use for my dry skin! I LOVE IT, it's a great lotion.
  • Aquaphor was recommended by my pediatrician it is greasy but worked wonders
  • I just took Aria to her pedi this morning for this very reason. Turns out, she has Eczema! We were told to use Vaseline and coat her in that before bedtime and then to use Aveeno brand lotion for Eczema Treatment only. Her pedi said other lotions dont really treat severe dry skin near as well.

Thank you for posting this. I'll find something different to use...

  • Eucerin Intensive Repair

  • Pediatrician recomended Eucerin for MJ. It was too greasy for me so I would mix it with her regular lotion... Then one day I discovered creamy petroleum jelly! Wow dry patches that she's had on her back and arms since forever are gone! Who woulda thunk it?

  • Cetaphil in the tub [not the lotion dispenser] has worked wonders on DS's eczema.
