When I was getting ready for work an old flip out of BM#1's came to mind and I cracked up laughing. It wasn't funny at the time but I LOL today.
SS was 6 and playing basketball in a church league. The awards ceremony was on our Sunday at 4pm. SS had to be at the church at 3:30 so we left the house at 3:00 for our 1/2 hour drive. BM was taking SS home with her after (5 minutes away).
We are sitting with BM waiting for the ceremony to start and she asks me if he had dinner. I said no we had to leave the house at 3:00 so he just had a snack. She flips about how she didn't know she would have to feed him dinner and someone should have called her and blah blah blah. She was mad for about a week.
Time really can make things funny later!
Re: BF flashback
Me neither, my SD gets out of school at 2:30.
When my youngest two SD's BM actually does utilize her parenting time with them, she brings them back early to have dinner here.
My Loves= SD 18 SS 16 SS13 DD13 DS10 SD6 SD5
In fairness to BM we later found out she was fighting with her H (marriage lasted 8 months) about some dating websites he was visiting. BM and SD17 both have a tendency to take any anger out on the first person they talk to rather then the person they are angry at. If it was an intact family the same thing may have happened.
But that didn't change the fact that I was on fire when it happened. I just had to hold it in the entire program and DH got the worlds longest vent on the way home.
Right?! OP, how dare you not feed your SD dinner at 3 pm. Sheesh, I bet you don't even feed her lunch at 10 am like BM clearly thinks you should... {insert eye roll}

You too?? The kids' BM picks them up late so she doesn't have to feed them dinner and drops them off early so we have to feed them lunch and dinner. Then there are those time that she says f!*& you and doesn't pick them up at all.
