My son will be 3 in exactly one week. I'm graduating this Thursday and I'm a little worried about him having to sit there. The ceremony starts at 7 pm and last for a couple of hours (1500 students graduating)
Any advice?

Bring lots of things to keep him entertained. My LO would NOT sit through a couple of hours. If I were in that situation, I would just bring books and toys and snacks, and if LO gets antsy, take them out for a little to run around.
I've taken the girls to two graduations at major state universities in the last two years (so loooong and lots of graduates), and they've done surprisingly well. I had help - my parents and sister - which is really the biggest thing that made it possible, and lots of entertainment for them. Special snacks they don't often get, books they haven't read in a while, coloring books/crayons/ColorWonder markers, my tablet with children's books and games that didn't require the sound to be on. We also made sure to sit on the end of a row and have someone take them out to walk a little if they got too antsy or needed the potty/diaper change. We also made sure they had a solid nap that day and a chance to run around and get energy out before the ceremony.
