First of all... HATE THEM RIGHT NOW! and I've spent so much money trying to find one that's comfortable, they seem fine in the store and then when I go to wear it for just day-to-day stuff.... CAN'T STAND IT! the girl at the store said that I'm a D cup... that's fine.. but there is like an inch gap between my boobs and the cup... how does that make me a D?!? I went ahead and just bought nursing bras because I don't want to waste money on maternity bras and I had a couple bras that felt fine up until about 2 weeks ago... I don't know if I should wait and judge after LO gets here, but wow so uncomfortable! the middle part where the wires come together... when I sit, omg! I can't even describe how uncomfortable I am! When I'm home... its off immediately!
Anyone have any suggestions as to what I should do? I'm going nuts!!!!! I've been avoiding going out because I'm so uncomfortable!
Re: BRAS!
Check THIS out. It's not the best, but before DS1 was born I was a 34B, when my milk came in I temporarily went up to a D, and when all was said and done, I'm now a large A/small B and they still fit the same way. I will say that when my breasts are engorged and full, it does hurt my back and probably because they weren't the most supportive, but other than that they're pretty comfortable and I feel the grow with you pretty well.
GSx1 - 05/13/2013
GSx2 for T&B - EDD 6/21/2015 - They're having a GIRL!
I only wear shelf bras now from GAP body. Real bras hurt mu ribs too much.
First comes love, next comes marriage, then comes...
What I found was I had to shop at the stores and for the brands my mom does. VS is out and vanity fair/maiden form is in. We have some outlets by us so I went there and got fully lined no wire bras. I also went up a band size to a 38. That relieved the pressure on my ribs but kept things looking ok. I also layer with a fitted maternity tank top which keeps cleavage in check and helps smooth out any bumps. HM had great cotton maternity camis that are nice and long and do the job.

The nursing bras I bought from Thyme Maternity (I live in Canada) have underwire... but other than those.. no I am not wearing underwire! Can't stand it!!!
I just don't know if the underwire in the NURSING bras that I bought are gonna bother me after LO gets here or not because as of right now when I sit it all smushes together in between my boobs and belly and it hurts....
I got one.. but I don't want to wear it in public.. has no padding and makes me look like I have a uniboob! lol it is very comfy tho... just looks like I'm not really wearing anything.... It's too late to wait to buy nursing bras.. the girl at the store told me to come in within a month of my due date... which it was and fitted me... with some room for when my milk comes in... but claims I'm a D cup now... I don't buy it considering a C cup is big on me.... I just don't know what to do!!! I'm so uncomfortable in my own skin!
I totally have felt the same exact way about bras for the entire pregnancy. I found tanks with built in bras at target for like 15 and just wear those everyday. Highly suggest them!!!!!
I wish I had a target... lol I've heard so much about them! There is going to be one opening in a town near mine soon in July I think... Living in Canada we don't have a lot of the same stores.... lol
