Pregnant after a Loss

Would you do it? S/O my post below

In reference to my painting post down below. Dh and I both love the idea of using the two tones with the chair rail but friends of ours who are having a baby a few weeks before us did the same thing in their nursery. They're having a boy so the colors are different and we will be doing different things with our walls (decorations). I just don't want them (or anyone) to think we are trying to copy what they did. What would you do? Thanks for the advice.

  • Who cares if they did it. they should take it as a compliment to their own work and not feeling lik eyou copy them. If you really like it,t hen do it.

  • Do it! I think that is a pretty common way to decorate not only a nursery, but a room in general. I have a friend who decorated her living room that way (not with bright baby colors obviously, but with neutrals) and it looks great!

  • It's not like they invented it!  Plenty of people do the two tone.  I say go for it.
  • Thanks ladies! I don't think they would care but I just wanted to see what other people thought.
  • Even though you didn't actually copy from them, how can they possibly take offense if you say "It looked so great in your baby's room, we decided to try it, too."
    DD1 is 3, DD2 is 1.
  • I did both of my dd's previous rooms like this, say you copied it from me, lol.  Really, it is a very common treatment, and one I'm obviously a fan of.  And if the colors are different, I wouldn't even think twice about it.

That made me laugh- I'll be sure to say that if anything is said.
