So this will be my 3rd c/s (4th pregnancy) & I'm now about 27 weeks in. For the past several weeks I have had a pretty sharp stabbing pain along my scar and in sometimes my right side. It get it almost every day sometimes for up to a full hour. I've never had this particular pain before & I find it highly suspect that it always starts out around my scar & that the further along I get the longer & more frequently they happen. The first time it happened I talked to my Dr who said it could be round ligament pain & we'd watch it. Well now it's been two visits & I haven't been able to see my Dr, just the Midwife/Nurse Practitioner. The pain has been worse & more consistent since first reported & she doesn't seem concerned or to quite "get it". For some reason she keeps bringing up my gall bladder & has has US check on it at least twice. She has also brought up my history with kidney stones (which is non-existent). She has also hooked me up to a monitor to show me I'm not having contractions. I have been in labor before. I have been pregnant before. I know what BH feels like, I know what contractions & round ligament pain feels like. This is worse! I'm starting to get worried that this lady's wild goose chasing is going to end up causing me some serious problems. Has anyone else experienced something similar so I know at least how concerned to be?

In a nutshell sounds like it could be the scar tissue being stretched, which it really can't do, and since you've already had 2 c sections it's probably just really getting pulled. In some cases you can also have a thinning of the uterus from the cuts and it can start to tear. This you definitely need to be careful of. Again I'm not a doctor and I don't know a lot about this other than what I've read so i dont want to freak you out. I would say if ethe pain gets really bad, go to the ER; but otherwise just watch it as like I said, it could also just be the scar tissue being stretched.
And with doctors sometimes you have to be your own advocate. If you get the feeling the nurse isn't helping, demand someone else.
See this is kind of what I was afraid of. If I had to compare it to what it felt like I would almost say it feels like something tearing. One concern I have is that the placenta maybe attached in a bad spot & it's pulling/stretching/putting pressure in a bad or weak spot. My other two boys I know did this, just in different ways. My first causing serious kidney pain & blockage (which is probably where the nurse keeps getting kidney stones) & my youngest was attached almost right over my cervix causing a placental abruption. It's just hard to say because like I said this pain is different.
I'm really hoping I get to see my actual doctor my next visit. The whole reason I agreed to see the nurse this time was I was hoping to get some answers sooner rather then later.
