Before I head to the pedi tomorrow, how did you discover the silent reflux? How was the diagnosis made? How is it different from 'regular" reflux?
Also, did you LOs sleep ok on their backs?
butting in.. DS had silent reflux, too.. Some of the biggest signs were the way he'd throw himself arching his back when feeding and after feeds.. Also, he always sounded like he had congestion in his throat. My ped actually diagnosed it just by seeing the way he was arching/throwing himself in my arms.. Within a week of the medicine he'd stopped doing that for the most part, and the congestion in his throat went away. The only time he'd revert was when it was time to increase the dose of his meds. And, he always slept on his back and was a good sleeper. That and the lack of spitting up was why I didn't suspect reflux. DS also had bad colic though, too. Good luck tomorrow!!

DD wasn't dx until 4m. For months they said it was gas and I tried gripe water and gas drops with no help. She slept in the RNP for 3m just fine but when we put her in the crib it went really bad and she woke up a lot. I think my Pedi dx her with it as a trial. They didn't know for sure but since the Zantac wouldn't hurt she said we could try it. She did the arching of the back and would pull off a lot while eating. Pedi said it could take a week for the meds to kick in, but amazingly she was a different baby after the first dose.
Dosing is based off of weight so I would notice symptoms coming back as she got older and we would adjust her dose. She'd get fussy with solids too.
