    Hi!  We actually recently moved to Howard County, MD.  I took a job in Baltimore, so we had to move a little closer, and we also wanted some additional space/good schools, etc.  I miss DC a ton though!  It's my favorite city, and I loved actually living in the city!  We had my DS while living on Capitol Hill, and it's really just a great place!  

    Do you work in the city?

    I SAH during the week and work on Saturday.  I am an RN and work at a hospital in DC.  I can understand moving for more space.  If my DH's job wasn't here, we would do the same thing!

    Sept07 I lived on Capital Hill for about 5 months in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina. I LOVE DC. I can't seem to remember the street we lived on but it was off a park between 11th and 12th street NE. I tried to convince DH to move but he hates the cold.

    Lincoln Park!!!  I love that park!!  It's so great!!  We absolutely loved being able to walk everywhere, including down to the Capitol for special events!  We used to watch the fireworks each fourth of July, and I remember walking down to the Capitol when Pres. Ford died!  If I had millions of dollars, I would totally buy one of the really big historic homes up there and live there permanently.  We talk about moving back when the kids go off to college!

    Were you in New Orleans during Katrina?  My sister was a senior at Tulane at the time and come up North for a semester while Tulane was closed!  Crazy time!
