Yup. The saga continues.
We switched to my love to try to have a bit of an "easier" TTC experience and we have now been officially benched until late-Summer or the Fall because my love has been diagnosed with a hydrosalpinx in her left tube.
So now we're looking at another HSG for her, and probably a Lap to have the tube removed. The Dr says we could opt for a coil to block it, but we're leaning toward going for the Lap & Salpinectomy because it'll also give the Dr. the opportunity to look for Endo and assess the other tube/ovary while she's in there.
We found this out last week, but just last night I spent some time actually researching what a hydrosalpinx is (plus googling pics) -- and I got scared.... seems like pretty serious stuff.
So the tube needs to come out for sure. And from what I'm gathering I think it looks like we are one more big step toward the road of IVF for both her and I. Bah!
I'm sad about being benched for so long, and about the waiting game, and scared for what it means for my love's fertility as well. Anyway - thanks for the listen, any experience with Hydros or words of wisdom would be welcome.

Baby girl arrived on Thanksgiving day weighing 7lbs 6oz and measuring 20 inches
I did not have one, but my one SIL was diagnosed with bilateral hydrosalpinx (hydrosalpinges?) after her HSG. Did the doctor offer the option of trying to unblock during surgery? My SIL was told there was a small chance they'd be able to and was scheduled for a lap/D&C and that if they weren't successful they'd remove her tubes and move forward with IVF. They ended up being successful (and she is now pregnant with baby #2). I don't know what the likelihood of that working is though- I think at the time I heard it varies based on location of the hydrosalpinx, but at least it might be something to ask about.
О Привязать! Z!
It was suspected that I had a hydro via u/s (6 months into treatment with RE) and did have a lap. Dr. Google freaked me out as well. Stay away!
It was discovered that it was not a hydro but endo around the tube that could be removed.
No other words of advice, but stay strong, maybe it can be repaired or isn't exactly what they think.
GL!
