So it's obviously safe to post here considering this girl wants nothing to do with kids. A friend of ours is getting married to a girl, who is nice...But has Gold Digger written all over her. I won't go into full detail, but just believe me.

I got a Bridal Shower invite from her hostess...First of all it's like "There are 2 things a woman should be. Classy, and Fabulous." I'm guessing that is the "theme"? IDK. There is no registration card or anything of the sort BUT it does ask if you want to contribute to the group gift. Guess what the group gift is? Guess.

Well, I guess I'm not the first 2 because I don't have a designer purse.

I seriously considered everything you just said. HAHA Great Minds! Even if I were to go...1. I'm not helping to buy the girl a damn $1200 purse and 2. What does a barefoot & pregnant hillbilly wife like myself take to such an event? Cookie sheets? Yuck Yuck Yuck

Man... nothing says "I really am investing in an equal partnership marriage like making everything about me me ME!" that's the most laughable invitation ever... hahaha, I am so sorry you are going to have to deal with this piece of work long-term (well, maybe!?).

That's a famous quote. I want to say Marilyn Monroe said it but I'm too lazy to google. I do find it a bit weird that the only she'd want at a bridal shower is a purse. Isn't the main point of a shower to open presents?

I agree. I'm being judgemental here but I doubt she can cook. Get a crockpot or something.
