I've never made a trifle before and need some advice! I couldn't find a recipe for the kind of trifle I wanted, so I created my own. I'm making it for a backyard luau. 
Layers listed in order from top to bottom:
Ha.ole Trif.le O.no
Garinish - Chopped Macadamia Nuts
Whipped Cream
Pineapple Chunks
Coconut Cream Pudding
Banana Slices
Guava Jelly
King's Hawaiian Sweet Rolls
Is this enough for a trifle? Do you think there should be more layers or additional fillings? TIA!
Just thought of this... Maybe add strawberry slices on top of the whipped cream/under macadamia nuts?

Holy YUM.
I've only made a couple of trifles in my day. I'm no trifle expert, but your recipe sounds incredible! I might add strawberries to the top to add some color since the rest might be kind of light colored, just for visual appeal.
By the way, total side note...I can't eat this anymore because I'm allergic to gluten but I used to make these....they are hawaiiain sticky rolls in this soupy coconut cream sauce that makes you wanna slap someone. The pictures don't do the taste justice.

To.Die.For. Maybe you can just make the sauce and drizzle some on top? Or if you wanted to go extra crazy, you could actually make this recipe and put it as a bottom layer for some extra texture...Oh I always doubled the sauce so the rolls were practically immersed. They are better this way.

You could layer the pudding or whipped cream in between other layers, that might "bulk it up" a bit.
Sound super delicious. I LOVE coconut!

RPL testing all normal, Karyotyping normal
Moving on to IVF.
IVF #1 April 2012 = BFN, IVF #2 June 2012 = BFP. U/S 7/23 = saw heartbeat but measuring behind. Follow up U/S on 7/30 - no heartbeat. D&C 8/2. Trisomy 12. IVF #3 Oct 2012 = Chemical Pregnancy
Phone consult with CCRM on 12/12/12 - ODWU 1/4/13 - both tubes clear(!) - AFC 24, AMH 3.2, FSH 9.6, LH 5.4, E2 25. DH has high frag rate but improved!
IVF #4 March 2013 CCRM. EP protocol w/ Menopur, Gonal-F & Dexamethasone. ER 3/29 & IMSI, PICSI. 43R 13M 10F 6blasts bio'd. CCS testing reveals 3 normals!!!
FET 5/31/13 of 1 4AA blast - thawed and expanded. 4dp5dt BFP.
Beta 9dp5dt = 181, 11dp5dt = 427. 1st u/s showed a healthy heartbeat! EDD 2/16/14
After 4 years of hoping and heartbreak, our sweet little bean was born on 2/19/14

You're right, it does need more color. I made a few different mini versions to see in which order I preferred the layers and it was a bit monochromatic.
That bread sounds super yummy! I bet the sauce would be delicious on top and running down the sides of the trifle!!

If you do "trial runs", I would try swapping the Hawaiian sweet rolls for Vanilla pound cake. If you put the jelly on the pound cake, it will ooze in
.
You might try roasting the Macadamia nuts with shredded coconut. The coconut will brown a bit and add some color to the top (with the lovely strawberries).
You could also add a little chopped Mango....

Roasting the Macadamia nuts sounds really good! I'll have to give that a try.
I can't remember if it is mango or papaya that I don't like so I didn't add either of those, but I'm sure they would be good. I might have to buy one of each, add the one I do like, and then have DH eat whichever one I don't like.
