Affordable Stroller Suggestions Please

I know this comes up a lot on here, but I need some suggestions for an affordable single stroller (under $200 preferably, $250 max).  For our twins we have the City Mini Double which we love, only real complaint is that the storage basket is tiny.  Anyone have any reviews on the City Micro Stroller?  It is so much cheaper than the City Mini.  Can anyone compare the City Micro to the B-Agile?  Other suggestions for us to consider?  This baby will be using one of the Chico Keyfit 30 carseats older brothers used, so we are not interested in a whole travel system.  Also does anyone know anything about the affordability of carseat adapter kits and how easy they are to install (i.e. is it worth it to buy one, or should we just go for a snap n go for a while?)  In summary we are looking for an all purpose stroller (that will last through toddlerhood) that will mainly be used for: walking in our neighborhood, going to grocery/mall, trips to the zoo, and that kind of thing.  Any suggestions or advice is greatly appreciated!

I love the Valco Snap.  Similar to the City Mini but has a good basket and it can take a Chicco car seat also.  I think it's much nicer than an umbrella stroller but still lightweight.

  • I would personally get a snap and go for your chicco. And worry about getting a regular stroller in 6 to 12 months. There are always newer and better strollers coming out.

With that said, I like the micro, it is fine for stores and the mall. I really liked the b agile too.
  • i think this is really good for 149$.. https://www.albeebaby.com/quinny-senzz-stroller-in-star.html     and here is the review https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4387BXJUO_o

  • We have a DSNG for now. We also have a Joovy Scooter x 2 for when they're older. It's 225 and gets solid reviews for the price range. The seats fully recline and the harness tightens all the way down so I use it now for walks in the neighborhood.

I have the City Micro (I picked it up as a cheap stroller when they were on clearance at Target earlier this year for about $80). I love it as my everyday stroller. I believe the only differences between it and the Mini are that the Mini has larger wheels and the canopy folds a bit differently -- the Micro folds out once where the Mini has the traditional BJ trifold. I went through several strollers (and a lot of money) until I bought the Micro. My husband and I are very tall and we had a lot of problems not only with walking into the back of the strollers but also we found a lot were slightly too short for us so after an hour of pushing, our backs were strained. We do not have this issue with the Micro. If you found a great deal on it, I'd definitely go for it.

I looked at the Micro but skipped it because the recline and sunshade are not good. I know people love it but it really only works for 6 months and up.  Just something to think about.

This is good info to know.  My boys hated being in their Snap N Go (screamed bloody murder everytime) and we moved them into the regular double stroller around 5 months of age.  Another factor is that while the Micro is cheap the adapter for a carseat is about $60 dollars (that is half of the cost of the stroller itself on Amazon).
