Cradle Cap Shampoo

Does anyone have any good suggestions? We have a slight case and I'd like to get it under control.

Re: Cradle Cap Shampoo

  • My pedi has told me with both kids that adult dandruff shampoo would work... Never did use it though, but that's what I was told.  I just use some olive oil or baby oil, let it soak in, wash as normal, then use a baby brush to scrub the flakes off.

I just used the baby shampoo and rubbed baby oil on after his bath and brushed his hair. Within a week it was gone.

  • I just washed her head daily with baby shampoo and lightly exfoliated with a soft brush.  Putting breastmilk on it also helps!
  • Thanks everyone!! You guys are the best!!!!
  • We've been using Mustela shampoo and daily brushing

Same here. I tried it because one of our boys had it pretty bad and I didn't notice a difference. Baby oil didn't work either. Olive oil seemed to do the trick. I put it on, brushed it then shampooed as usual. He still has a little bit but its not nearly as bad. I keep forgetting to bring the olive oil to the bath so we haven't kept up with it.
