now that we're TTC, every time we have sex my DH thinks it may have been "the one", no matter where I am in my cycle. I'll kindly remind him that time was just for "fun" but he insists he has super-sperm that ignores the laws of fertility.
Its enough funny, but its also pretty annoying that I've done tons of research (you could even say a years worth, I've been charting that long) and he get away with just having "super sperm"
how involved are your partners, beyond being willing & able? rant over!
Re: DH doesn't get it
Lol! Well I have explained how it works to my dh many times, and he's still convinced that I could get pregnant no matter what time in my cycle I am in!
Other than being willing and able, I wouldn't say he's too "involved", he certainly isn't doing the research I do. We have our first RE appointment tomorrow, so he will probably be a little more aware after that. It is just different for men.

My DH is not too interested in the process of everything, but when we tried for the first time, he went straight into baby making mode and skipped foreplay all together. Doesn't work that way dude. I just wanted to enjoy the sex myself. Be happy though and enjoy he is so optimistic.
Bump Burp. Excuse me.
SUPER SPERM!!!!!!!!
That sperm has some seriously ripped quads. He would for sure win the great intra-uterine race.
haha!

LOLZ!
This. A lot of our friends got KU'd "on the first try" so I don't think my H realized that it's not always that simple or easy.
He is pretty involved. I use FF, but I also chart on My monthly cycles for a quick tracker and email it to him. I'm definately the one that did all the research initially. He never did read TCOYF or any of the articles our RE has given us, but he listens while I explains things to him and he really gets it. I feel like once we crossed over the line from ttc to infertility land, he really tuned in.
Perfect.
LOL. That sperm is ripped!
I say let your H celebrate his super sperm.

As long as we get the job done, I'm happy with that. Our schedules are both busy and incompatible at times, so that's a challenge for us at times. He was not interested in the details when we first started trying. He wanted it to just "happen naturally" and the science behind the whole thing turned him off. Now that we are under the care of a RE and about to undergo treatment, he's paying attention more.
I am cracking up at the Super Sperm and think that should be someone's super hero for the TTGP siggy challenge!
